Meet Dr. Cantrell


DSC_0921.JPGDr. Cantrell is originally from Reynolds, Georgia, where she graduated valedictorian from Taylor County High School. She later received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia. She graduated number one in her dental school class and then completed her education at MCG by earning a Master of Science degree in oral biology and her orthodontic certificate.

Dr. Cantrell constantly strives to meet and exceed the standards of her profession and is a member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Southern Association of Orthodontists (SAO), Georgia Association of Orthodontists (GAO), American Dental Association (ADA), Georgia Dental Association (GDA), Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU - National Dental Honor Society), and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity for attaining the highest academic standing during dental school.

After completing her education, Dr. Cantrell moved to Cornelia where she has been providing orthodontic care since 1997. She is married to Jeff Cantrell, a native of Habersham County. They currently reside in Clarkesville with their two daughters, Abby and Emily.
